This past month I was fortunate to work with different groups of teenagers. By listening I learned so much from them; they taught me even as I taught them
What stood out for me is the peer pressure the teen child is undergoing. Every age has its peer pressure and it’s expected.

There is pressure for the teenage child to be in a sexual relationship of different form and manner.
There is pressure for a teenage child to take drugs.
There is pressure for a teenage child to cheat in their exams.

Although this is not a research finding, these were what these teens in various schools in Kenya are undergoing.

My challenge to you is to pause and raise a teen child to God. We are all surrounded by teenagers around us, they are your sons, daughters, nieces, nephews, neighbours.

The developmental stages they are undergoing is answering the question ‘who am I?’ And a lot of groups and activities will be joined and done respectively in trying to understand themselves’ thus:

Pray for God’s protection over these children transitioning to adulthood.
Pray for godly company for them
Pray for godly parents and guardians that shows them love and the the moral ways to undertake.
Pray they find people who will listen to them and give good counsel
Pray they understand the value of hard work, integrity and honesty
Pray that there is healing in our homes
Pray that we as a society can be forgiven for choosing, ignoring, or being silence when we see evil around us

How about a movement?
